Many people use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to chronicle the events, big and small, in their lives. However, social media is still relatively new, and the law has not had much time to react and form a consensus on how to treat social media posts by victims in civil or criminal cases. If you’ve been injured, physically or emotionally, be careful what you post on social media sites, as it may come back to haunt you.
